Cat Gets Exercise
Today, we have maybe 10 inches of snow outside and my cat Gergiev, in celebration of the season, has been playing indoor soccer with some of my Christmas ornaments. Perhaps she is sad that she cannot go frolic out in the lovely snow.

Why does Cat not get to frolic in the snow?
Cat is declawed and now must stay inside.
Blocks got tossed into a snowdrift last night. She was not amused.
Did you know that while studying the mad sciences in college, I dissected two cats? I still have my cat-dissecting kit, which I dangle over Blocks's head when she misbehaves.
Jeni is very disapproving of such ventures, even in the pursuit of the mad sciences. Why did you not protest and demand to dissect a rat or a dog or some other lesser animal instead?
I dissected my share of rats as well, and while I never had the opportunity to dissect canines, I did get to dissect some dogfish.
However, I did get to witness a dog in the process of having his head removed in an attempt to observe the progress of rabies. Sam was fortunate enough to arrange it for me.
