From Tramp to Aristocracy?

My lovely cat Gergiev, who came to live with your humble narrator after wandering aimlessly about the dirty streets of Tulsa for some unknown amount of time, has come to reject the petty bourgeois fare of cat treats provided by doting godmother. Just this very day on the morn did your narrator catch glimpse of her eyeing one advertisement (read: ad-vûr' ts-, mnt) for Fancy Feast's new line of gourmet cat food: Elegant Medleys, "restaurant-inspired feline cuisine." Below is a description of the line:

Elegant Medleys™ entrées offer tempting florentines, delightful soufflés and sumptuous shredded fare — each inspired by the menus of the world's finest restaurants. Every tantalizing entrée is artfully prepared with premium ingredients like yellow fin tuna, wild salmon, white meat chicken or tender turkey and accented by a touch of garden greens. To cats everywhere, Bon Appétit.

Gergiev seemed quite taken by the picture of Wild Salmon Florentine in a Delicate Sauce with Garden Greens. And to think I once knew her to eat raw birds . . .
